ImaliPay And HAVA Partners To Provide Bespoke Financial Services To Drivers.

ImaliPay and Hava have partnered to offer BNPL products and services tied to Hava drivers’ work. The partnership will offer affordable, flexible and efficient digital financial products to Hava’s drivers to support their work by improving their productivity and increasing their earning potential.

Hava Net Limited is an on-demand transportation service that provides ride-hailing services and  mobility services which allows end-users to request a taxi from their smartphone through the Hava application. Hava was founded in 2018 and is based in Nairobi, Kenya operating in cities like Mombasa and Kisumu.

ImaliPay is a fast-growing Pan African and VC backed embedded financial services platform focused on offering credit, savings, insurance etc via a single channel or API to Africa’s gig economy platforms. We deploy short term finance easily and quickly to enable our customers to generate more revenue from their gig work. ImaliPay has partnered with Hava to support Hava drivers’ productivity, workflow, and overall financial security and well being.

Hava drivers primarily face cash flow deficits. Because of the nature of their work, they receive payments in piecemeal throughout the day, but subsequently, cash out frequently to meet the needs of their work, either to pay for fuel or to buy airtime. ImaliPay’s solution caters to those particular needs by providing digital financial products that revolve around a Hava driver’s typical workday.

ImaliPay will leverage its various ‘Buy Now, Pay Later’ marketplace partners to support the availability of the products and services offered from fuel to smartphones. Through the partnership, Hava drivers are now able to access digital financial services in real-time.

Hava’s CTO Mohamed Nuur says, ‘the Hava-ImaliPay partnership will strengthen our resolve of ensuring drivers earnings and well-being is catered for. This is the first of many solutions we are looking to offer to our drivers’

Tatenda Furusa Co-founder of ImaliPay says, ‘ImaliPay is excited to have a partnership with Hava, as we continue to deepen our foothold in the Kenyan market whilst serving a growing pool of gig economy workers in ride-hailing’
